🎡 Wheel Throwing (Most Popular)
Make up to 3 clay pieces such as bowls, cups, or dishes.
Great for teams that want a hands-on, messy, and memorable challenge.
Our staff trims, bisque fires, glazes, and glaze fires your pieces afterward.

✋ Hand-Building / Sculpture
Create plates, mugs, bowls, trays, or small sculptures using slab, coil, and pinch techniques.
Less messy than wheel throwing but just as creative. The easier option.

🎨 Paint Your Own Pottery (PYOP - Sutter St only)
Select one pre-made item for each hour booked and decorate it with underglazes. A relaxed, clean, social option—perfect for groups who want creativity without the clay mess. Wine welcome. Easiest option.

What Happens to My Pieces?
After your event, we handle all trimming, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing.
Finished items will be ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks wheel and hand work. 2-3 weeks PYOP work..

Everything you need is provided, including up to 3 pounds of clay, aprons and tools.

BYOFD: Bring your own food and drink to make it an extra festive activity. We recommend the longer time slots for socializing when you do.

Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, and trim fingernails for the best wheel experience.

Larger groups: over 26 at 24th St and over 45 at Sutter St will be split into two teams, rotating between wheel throwing and hand-building.

Groups larger than 52 (24th St) or 45 (Sutter St) may not allow for everyone to try the wheel.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: More than 7-days prior to the event: Full refund and no fees. Within 7 to 3 days: 1/2 refunded or 50% re-booking fee. Within 3 days of the event: No refund, 75% re-booking fee.

Registration fee covers instruction, up to 3 pounds of clay, use of equipment and tools, glazing and firing.

You will be notified between 4-6 weeks for finished pottery pick-up.

Remember to wear some clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty, clip your fingernails for the best experience

Participants are expected to clean-up their work areas the last 15 minutes of the event unless a $12 service fee has been paid in advance.
