SMAart Gallery & Studio was founded in September 2012 in Lower Nob Hill neighborhood in the heart of the First Thursday Art Walk, and is opening our Mission gallery & studio on 24th street in early 2020. The galleries in the front features rotating shows of visiting artist works from the Bay Area as well as featuring the work by resident and emerging artist members of SMAart.
While the center primarily features ceramic artists, artists of every media are welcome. Founder Steven M Allen opened SMAart to fulfill a longtime dream of having a place to LEARN-SHARE-CREATE ART. Develop your skills and techniques in classes, experience inspiring art in the gallery, emerging and resident artists create works in an open environment surrounded by other inspiring artists
